Taylor Comstock has been hailed as "astonishing", "...a strong, clear tenor...", with a voice of "smooth power", and "sheer, glorious size".
In his emerging career, Mr. Comstock has already performed many standards of the lyric tenor repertoire, notably the Chevalier des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Manrico (Il Trovatore), Rodolfo (La Bohéme), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), and Alfredo (La Traviata).
In concert performance, Taylor most recently made his Carnegie Hall debut in April 2024 as the Tenor Soloist in Mozart's Coronation Mass, K. 317. He was also featured in October 2023 with the Vallejo Festival Orchestra in "Three Tenors! The Next Generation"
Taylor was most recently named 3rd Runner-Up at the 2024 Shreveport Opera Mary Jacobs Smith Singer of the Year Competition. He was also named 1st Place: Professional Opera Artist at the 2023 Opera Mississippi John Alexander National Vocal Competition. Taylor also previously garnered high acclaim at the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and was a 2018 Grand Finalist at The Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition.
Upcoming engagements for Mr. Comstock include productions of Aïda (Radamés) at Opera Maine in July 2024, and Tosca (Cavaradossi) at Shreveport Opera in November 2024.
